How this works

Gmail clips messages above roughly 102KB, hiding everything past the cut behind a "View entire message" link. The part that gets hidden is the bottom of the email — which is where your unsubscribe footer lives.
It also breaks measurement. Tracking pixels below the cut never fire, so a clipped campaign under-reports opens and looks worse than it performed.
The usual culprits are base64-embedded images, unused CSS from a framework, and whitespace. This measures UTF-8 bytes, which is what the threshold applies to, and breaks down where the weight is going.
